Short: Windows-like Send tool for the AmigaOS Author: narr.cybersdorf@gmx.net (Richard Kapp) Uploader: narr cybersdorf gmx net (Richard Kapp) Type: util/wb Version: 0.6 Architecture: m68k-amigaos Kurz: Windows ähnliches Send-Tool für AmigaOS SendStuff v.0.6 --------------- New in v.0.6 ------------ - you can now move drawer - you can now also copy drawer within drawers - SendStuff remembers the send-mode (copy or move) when saving the config - bugfixes What it is? ----------- Send feature for files (similiar to the Windows(TM) one but better!;) Advantages: ----------- - You can copy OR move files (the mode will be remembered when saving the config) - Everything works via simple Drag'n'Drop - You can send multiple files at once - You can define personal paths, where stuff will send to - Online Help via Menu - Freeware!:) Disadvantages: -------------- - you only can send the *contents* of a drawer About: ------ SendStuff is actually a part of my System Enhancer, called WorkON. Now you can use this stand-alone. SendStuff was made for sending single files quickly to another location. It's similiar to Window's SEND function. You can also drag drawers but only the *contents* of the drawer will be copied - not (!) the drawer itself. But read on first before deleting this proggy without touching it! :) It can be of good use! If you drag a file on SendStuff, a window will open asking you to which you location you want to copy or move the file. Just toggle the cycler to the mode you wish to use (copy or move). You can choose between several devices (RAM, DF0, SYS) and typical Amiga-directories, like WBStartup (also Enabled and Disabled for those of you who use WBStartup+), T:, etc. You can also send it somewhere else by selecting a dir with a file-req. Also, you can define 4 user-paths (see SendStuff's config-menu) by selecting paths and giving names to them. You can of course save this config. Examples for usage: ------------------- This comes in handy if you download pics from the internet or receive a music-file (MP3, Midi, etc) over (Str)ICQ. You could create a directory for often-used file-transfers, like pictures, music-files, etc and then define this paths within the SendStuff config by giving the same names. Next time you receive a MP3 by a friend over ICQ you can simply drag it on SendStuff and select your user-path 'MP3' and it will be copied there directly. If you want to copy the icon aswell, you also have to drag the .info file on SendStuff. Otherwise only the file will be copied - not the .info file. Installation: ------------- Just copy the dir to a location on your HD. That's all. No installation needed except to copy the font XHelvetica.font to your FONTS: dir if you haven't already got it there, that is. SendStuff uses the great Gui4CLI (included). WBSTARTUP? ---------- If you want to start SendStuff automatically from WBStartup you have to copy 'gui' from the SendStuff-Archive to C: first. Then edit the tooltypes of the SendStuff icon and write C:gui as the standard-tool. Now you can simply copy SendStuff to your WBStartup.
