Short: Wbgrabs of my Workbench. HIGHGFX 1088x384x16 Author: cpbj101@york.ac.uk Uploader: cpbj101 york ac uk Type: pix/wb Architecture: generic hi folks well this is another typical wb upload. But nevertheless it is a big improvement on the last grab I sent to the Aminet. Well my system now is the following. A1200/030/882/50MHz/18Mb/407Mb with a 2.4 Speed SCSI cd, a microvitec 1438 monitor a Goliath Power Supply, and a Canon BJC-4000 colour printer. The main two additions has been a 16Mb 60ns EDO simm which only cost me £57 and a 50 MHz PGA fpu. The FPU has changed dramatically the speed of my system. In the first WBgrab it shows my current program being compiled. With the FPU installed it took 4mins of the time of running the program, which is in fortran 77 but is converted to c for the GCC compiler to work. The second grab is of some general drawers. Notice the use of the normal icons. Even though iconographics and newicons are far superior icons, you only really benefit from them if ou have a graphics board which i don't have. Also on the Aminet will be a new AIBB module of my new system, so compare if you want. My homepage is at http://www.york.ac.uk/~cpbj101 here you will find some amiga links and other stuff. A non pc zone :-) Well there we have it. Any queries i'll be happy to answer just e-mail me at the above address. Ta ta for now. Quote:- 'Windows95; where do you want to go today?' 'AmigaOS; Already been there!' Only the Amiga makes it possible.
