This player plays songs created with the Atari ST version of the "Quartet" editor from Illusions/Microdeal. 2 Songs created with the synthetic (no external samples) version of the "Quartet" editor can be played with "Quartet PSG" player (EP_QuartetPSG.lha). 3. This soundformat was created by Rob Povey & Kevin Cowtan for the Atari ST and the replayer was ported to the Amiga by Steve Wetherill. 4. Default file prefixes for: Songdata - QTS. (for example: QTS.Gazza2) Samples - SMP. (for example: SMP.Gazza2) You can use also "SMP.set" for the sample file name. 5. Almost all "Quartet ST" modules run at 200 Hz, and if the module uses a different speed (for example modules from "Ooh Crickey Wot A Scorcher" demo runs at 50 Hz), you must add 4 bytes at the 12 byte offset of songdata and set the new speed in Hz. For example: WT - ID in ascii $0032 - Hz value in hexadecimal 6. This soundformat was used on the Atari ST by famous musicians like Richard Joseph, Martin Walker, Steve Wetherill and David Whittaker. 7. NotePlayer version passes the maximum frequency back to DT, so that it will always play correctly regardless of screen mode. 8.
