Short: Additional samples for GMPlay Author: christer.bjarnemo@mailbox.swipnet.se Uploader: christer bjarnemo mailbox swipnet se Type: mods/smpl Version: 1 Architecture: generic Hi! I have sampled/ripped/collected a few samples during my years with the Amiga, so i thought i probably could come up with a few replacement samples for (the Excellent) GMPlay by Alessandro de Luca and Christian Buchner. Well, this volume contains a few Drums and replacements for the Bass-sounds. Since im quite crazy about cool basslines and heavy drums, this was my first priority.. However, i will come up with more samples in the near future... I also included a few of my fave midisongs, for example: bitdust1.mid ; Good example of the heavy drums monster.mid ; SlapBass funk.mid ; The same howdoyou.mid ; I promise to fix a replacement for the Lead guitar later. jazz.mid ; Not really my kind of music, but it sounds real. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Ok. To install those samples, just copy them to your GM: directory. Don't forget to copy the NEW ToneMap (only instrument 33-40 is changed) I didn't need to change anything in the DrumMap, so just use your old one. WARNING: If you are using the autodecrunch feature of MCP (great util btw), Dopus and other programs may damage your XPK-crunched samples/songs!!! The reason is that Dopus checks how big the (crunched) file is. However, that is the crunched size. When Dopus opens the file, MCP unpacks it - only half the file is copied!!! INSTALLER might have the same problem... ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ BIG THANKS to Alessandro de Luca and Christian Buchner. Without those two gentlemen, we wouldn't have the possibility to play Midisongs..Great Job guys! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Christer Bjarnemo My 8 bit Corner: Author of nothing useful www.geocities.com/SiliconValley/2165/
